Association Information

The Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association was established in 1950 in San Juan as a not-for-profit organization. It is made up of more than 570 corporate members such as hotels, restaurants, airlines, tour and car rental companies, cruise lines and suppliers of good and services to the tourism industry.

 

Our Mission

The Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association (PRHTA) represents, protects, promotes, informs and educates its members to enable them to achieve their business objectives.

  • To combine the talents and efforts of all our members and channel them through the Association to improve the business environment for Puerto Rico’s tourism.
  • Lobby the Legislature to support laws that are favorable to our industry.
  • To increase the professionalism or our work force through education and training.
  • To strengthen our ability to promote Puerto Rico as a prime tourism destination
  • To improve membership services and benefits
  • To encourage active member participation in all committees.
  • To work closely with the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau and the Puerto Rico Convention Center
